The color of flowers can add to symbolism and meaning.

Black - Formal, sophisticated.  Lack of color. A rare color in flowers. Can represent the ability to see into the dark.

Blue - Calming and tranquility, the color representing two of the four elements: the sky (air) and water. As blue is the color of the sky, it is also symbolic of heaven. Blue is the color of the throat chakra, the fifth chakra, located in the neck.  This chakra primarily represents communication. Blue is associated with Archangel Michael.

Brown - The color representing nature and being grounded. Symbolizes one of the four elements: earth. Brown reflects the stability of the earth.

Cream -  Calm and relaxing, bringing through the energies of white (purity and simplicity) and yellow (happiness and joy).

Gold - Associated with abundance and generosity. Gold also brings the energy of higher levels of spiritual development.

Green - Symbolizes nature and wealth. Lighter greens often equate growth. Green is the color of the heart chakra, along with the color pink, and is located on the body at heart level. Green is associated with Archangel Gabriel.

Indigo - Intensely calming and symbolic of intuition. The color of the third eye chakra, in the middle of the forehead.

Orange  - Creativity, bright, fresh and adventurous. A combination of red and yellow. The color of the sacral chakra, located on the body beneath the navel.

Peach - The sweetness of life. Peach also brings through calm energy.

Pink - Feminine, sweetness and the lightheartedness that comes with romance.  It also represents compassion. Pink accompanies the color green in representing the heart chakra. Pink is associated with Archangel Chamuel.

Purple - Royalty and majesty, one of the colors of the heart chakra (with green).  Indigo is the color of the third eye chakra, in the middle of the forehead. Purple is associated with Archangel Zadkiel.

Red - True love and passion, desire and energy. Also symbolizes one of the four elements: fire. Red is the color of the root chakra, located at the base of the spine.  The root chakra is responsible for survival and safety and connection to the Earth. Red is associated with Archangel Uriel.

Violet -  A mix of red and blue. The color of the crown chakra, along with the color white, and is located just above the head. Violet symbolizes connection with spirit.

White - Purity, simplicity. The color most associated with light used in spiritual healing.

Yellow - Symbolizes happiness, soul level joy and the light of the sun illuminating the path before us.  It brings optimism into all realms. Yellow is the color of the solar plexus chakra, located at the navel.
